Reflex Marine will be presenting a paper entitled 'Personnel transfer in the marine environment - challenges and solutions' at the OSJ Conference on 26-27th February 2008.

The OSJ Annual Conference 2008 is used as a forum for senior offshore support executives, shipbuilders and designers, equipment manufacturers and industry associations to discuss 'hot' issues, gather intelligence, and network with other industry leaders.

Reflex Marine's paper focuses on marine based access and provides an overview of a wide range of scenarios, be they logistical, operational or emergency in nature. It looks at specific techniques including crane transfers, swing rope and pilot transfers. It discusses the fundamental risks and challenges of each different method and the key factors influencing choice. Suggestions are also made as to how companies can take positive steps to ensure their offshore access activities are made safer, more relibale and more cost effective.
