North Sea Offshore Crane & Lifting Conference 2010Crane transfer as a primary evacuation tool
Reflex Marine Ltd have been invited to present and host a debate at this year’s 15th North Sea Offshore Crane and Lifting Conference (NSOCLC) in Aberdeen, 27-29th April.
The company will be making a direct appeal to the North Sea industry to revisit the role of the crane in emergency evacuation strategies. At present, in the North Sea, crane transfers are not widely viewed as a primary tool in the management of emergency situations. The talk will reference experience from around the globe and provide an overview of recent development in the integrity of crane transfer operations. We aim to show that crane based evacuations have saved many lives over the years and could play an even greater role in the future.
The company is already engaged in dialogue with government and industry bodies and other interested parties and it is clear that there is a willingness to look at ways to further improve emergency provisions. We are keen to ensure that there is wide industry dialogue relating to this important issue.
The conference will be supported by CEO, Philip Strong and Business Development Manager, Kate Hallowes. Both will available at the conference for meetings, discussions and information sharing.
We are due to speak at 13:45hr on Tuesday 27th April.
Contact may be established by visiting the stand of our partners, Sparrows Offshore Services, in the exhibition centre shown in the map below.
